eth_newBlockFilter

Creates a filter in the node, allowing for later polling. Registers client interest in new blocks, and returns an identifier.

Parameters (by position)​

This method does not accept any parameters.

Result​

Filter identifier string

hex encoded unsigned integer

Match pattern: ^0x(0|[1-9a-f][0-9a-f]*)$
